Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of ChurchLibrary by Customers and Authorized Users. It is incorporated into the ChurchLibrary Terms of Service.

1. Rights in Content

You may not submit, upload, import, link to, or direct ChurchLibrary to process any content unless Customer has sufficient ownership, rights, licenses, permissions, consents, notices, or other lawful authority to do so. This includes sermons, guest-speaker content, music, video, images, documents, quotations, recordings, and other third-party materials.

ChurchLibrary does not verify ownership or rights clearance. Customer remains responsible for the content it directs ChurchLibrary to process.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to:

  • violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or legally binding obligation;
  • infringe, misappropriate, or violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • impersonate another person or organization or misrepresent authority to act for a Customer;
  • upload malware, malicious code, or content intended to damage, disrupt, monitor, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data;
  • attempt to access another Customer's workspace or data, bypass permissions, defeat tenant isolation, circumvent authentication or usage controls, or probe or test security without written authorization;
  • interfere with the operation, integrity, availability, or performance of the Service;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data from the Service through automated means except through features or APIs we expressly authorize;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, reproduce, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by law or written agreement;
  • use the Service to create or distribute unlawful threats, fraud, malware, or content intended to facilitate material harm;
  • use another Customer's confidential or proprietary content without authorization; or
  • misrepresent AI-generated output as an official statement of a pastor, church, ministry, or speaker when it has not been reviewed and authorized.

3. Sensitive and Confidential Content

Customers should use care before submitting highly sensitive information. Do not upload confidential pastoral counseling communications, legally privileged material, protected health information, financial account credentials, government identification numbers, or similar highly sensitive information unless Customer has determined the use is lawful, necessary, appropriate, and authorized.

4. Security and Account Integrity

Authorized Users must protect credentials, use only accounts they are authorized to access, comply with workspace permissions, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Customer must promptly remove access for users who are no longer authorized.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove or disable content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access when we reasonably believe activity violates this AUP, the Terms of Service, law, third-party rights, or creates a security or legal risk.

Where appropriate, we may preserve information, cooperate with lawful requests, and notify affected Customers or rights holders. Enforcement decisions do not constitute a determination of ultimate legal rights or liability.

6. Reporting Concerns

To report suspected abuse, security concerns, or violations of this AUP, contact chase@vessel.org. Copyright complaints should be submitted under the ChurchLibrary Copyright and DMCA Policy.
